Following on from their 2010 CD A Stab In The Dark, Penknife Glides complete the anthology with this latest release entitled Pleasure Thru Tears.

This 10 track CD encompasses some of their favourite songs written between 1981 and 1985 and now recently re-recorded by the band in New Zealand and Australia.

Apart from the familiar NZ tracks Pleasure Thru Tears and Sound of Drums, the majority of this new CD contain previously unreleased songs written during the latter part of their career in London and show a clear transition into a more electronic genre.

With the advent of digital recording still in its infancy in the early 1980s Penknife Glides worked closely with Tony Visconti's engineer in London honing their craft and demoing many of the tracks featured on this album.

Now 30 years later the band felt it was high time the rest of the world had an opportunity to savour some of these 1980s hidden gems.
